Breathe
Baysides' new evening service kicked off last night! It is taking on a bit of a unique format and will be running in a Gloria Jeans' Coffee shop. I guess it is a cross between a conventional Church service and a small group. The format is fairly relaxed, the idea behind the name "Breathe" being that people take time out to 'breathe' and to connect with God and others. It takes on a focus then, of being relevant to where people are at, provide support and encouragement and challenging toward growth. It also acts as a friendly environment that you can invite friends along to.The service last night went well and had a really nice atmosphere about it, a real sense of God's blessing. The staff at Gloria Jeans have been very helpful opening up the store for us to use and commented that they were impressed by the service. A time of new beginnings, very exciting. Pray for the witness that Breathe will be.

Very cool! So does Gloria Jeans have other customers there at the same time? What do they think of it?
The shop is usually closed at that time of the day, so they opened it up just for us, but we have signs about Breathe and the doors are open to anyone. We havn't really had many people just walking in though.
That's such a cool concept!!
